You are invited to the 2018 Annual General Meeting of the Salt Spring Abattoir.

7pm at the Farmers Institute.
With guest speaker Mary Richardson, Veterinarian & Animal Welfare Consultant
Mary will talk about pre-slaughter humane handling of livestock.
Bring your support and ideas about how the abattoir can better serve the farming community on Salt Spring. We’ve started our 6th season processing beef and pork as well as sheep and lambs. Poultry bookings for May & June are already more than in 2017 – all we need now is more people for the poultry crew! Do you know anyone who might like a job on Thursdays?
Even if you have other plans for the evening of May 7 please consider showing your support by joining the Abattoir Society for $20/year (or a larger donation). These funds help keep us afloat in the early part of the season when cash flow is our biggest challenge.
